About DW Fitness
In 2009, Dave Whelan founded DW Sports Fitness Ltd. when he bought 50 JJB Sports Fitness Clubs. Each of these clubs usually consisted of a fitness club and a retail store, a format that Whelan continued. Today, there are more than 70 DW Fitness clubs, which include the standalone fitness clubs and the standalone retail stores.
The DW Fitness prices offer great value because of the high quality of fitness facilities, amenities and services offered. The chain maintains qualified personal trainers and fitness instructors on its roster, all of whom are knowledgeable about effective and efficient functional training programs. The membership fees are reasonable considering that members have a full access to the gym’s facilities and amenities, as well as 10% discount in stores, nutritional support and fitness advice, and class bookings.
The services include group exercises as well as swim, steam and spa treatments. The group classes include Les Mills BodyCombat, Circuit Training, Insanity, Les Mills BodyPump, and Aqua Aerobics. There are also sporting goods and fitness gear available for men, women and children.
