About Philo

Philo prices are affordable because there are no expensive sports channels in its lineup. The live television streaming service allows its subscribers to enjoy shows on several channels. Interested individuals can also take advantage of the free trial before deciding to switch from, say, cable to the streaming service; a credit card isn’t required to try the free trial.

Many subscribers combine Philo with an affordable Internet plan and, thus, save more money than with an exclusive cable subscription. The channel lineup should be more than enough to cover your viewing needs in lifestyle and entertainment, among other non-sports programming. The channels include A&E, AMC, BBC America and BBC World, Cheddar, Comedy Central, DIY, Food Network, Hallmark Movies, Discovery, LifeTime Movies, MTV, Nick Jr. and Teen Nick, and Travel Channel, among others.

The base package includes 37 channels. For an extra nominal fee, more channels like AHC, BET Her, Destination America, Life, and Nicktoons can also be added. Just keep in mind that Philo isn’t for everyone because of the absence of many popular channels, especially sports channels, in its lineup.

Philo comes with a cloud DVR service. You can record your preferred shows, for example, and the DVR can save it for 30 days. You don’t have to worry about a limited number of shows that can be recorded but you have to watch them within 30 days after recording.

You can also watch the shows on three supported devices simultaneously. The supported platforms include Apple iPhone and iPad, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android devices.
