Vue Entertainment, or Vuew Cinemas, owns and operates 87 theaters in the United Kingdom. Since the theaters have multiple screens, the chain consists of more than 840 screens – the third-largest chain in the country. The screens include 3D screens, Extreme Screens, Scene Screens and Bars, IMAX screens, and Gold Class Screens.
All Vue Cinemas locations are open every day with the exception of Christmas Day; the cinemas may be open on both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day if there are blockbuster films. The actual opening time varies between locations although it is company policy for the theaters to open 15 minutes before the first film’s showing time.
The chain typically shows mainstream movies from Hollywood as well as from the United Kingdom and other countries. The movies may be shown for a limited period of time or extended depending on the demand.
