About Cafe Rio

The Café Rio Mexican Grill is a well-known chain of fast casual restaurants headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Its restaurants are located across Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada, among other states. The chain has remained true to its mantra of “fresh food, made fresh” so there are no pre-made food, as well as no microwaves and freezers.

The Cafe Rio prices are well worth every dollar considering that diners will enjoy delicious Mexican fare. In fact, the chain has won more than a hundred awards including the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Award.

The restaurants offer a wide range of appetizers, salads, and soups as well as Mexican and Tex-Mex staples like burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and tacos. The techniques used on cooking the latter foods are inspired by the Rio Grande culinary culture, specifically from the Texas, New Mexico, and Northern Mexico regions. The ingredients are also sourced directly from places where these are considered native crops, such as red peppers from Mexico.
