About Granite City Food & Brewery

The Granite City Food & Brewery chain of restaurants is named after St. Cloud, Minnesota, also known as Granite City because it was once the largest producer of granite in the United States. During its heyday, miners made handcrafted beers, a tradition that the chain continues to this day via its extensive range of handcrafted beers. The first restaurant opened in June 1999 in Granite City itself, and the chain now has more than 35 restaurants in 14 states.

The chain has multiple awards to its name, such as Best Beer, Best Burger, Best Brunch, and Best Martini, so the reason behind the slightly expensive Granite City Food & Brewery prices becomes clear. You will get what you pay for – great food and drinks, efficient service, and relatively upscale ambiance.

The food menu boasts several must-haves like glazed jumbo shrimp, Kobe beef sliders, chicken wings with sauce, and Idaho nachos. These are prepared in the open kitchen. The drink menu is even more impressive with several handcrafted microbrews made in each restaurant's on-site brewery, which can actually be seen from the dining area and bar.
