About Ponderosa Steakhouse
The Ponderosa Steakhouse prices may be more expensive than many of its competitors' prices. But every dollar is worth it, thanks to the delectable array of food on the buffet and steakhouse menu.
The chain is the result of a merger between Ponderosa and Bonanza companies with the new company being owned by Metromedia Restaurant Group. There are also two components of operations in each restaurant – a buffet and a steakhouse.
The buffet side usually has four sections – a salad bar with pre-made salads, fruits and vegetables, and other ingredients; a soup bar with a wide selection of soups and crackers; a hot food bar with sides like mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and meatloaf; and a dessert bar with soft serve ice cream, apple crisp, and jelly treats. The steakhouse side features an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, as well as lunch and dinner menus with entrées, salads, and soups. The entrées include steaks, chicken and seafood dishes, and sandwiches.
