About Peter Luger
The Peter Luger prices are on the high-end side, as can be expected from an upscale restaurant chain. The steakhouse chain may only have a few locations but these are recognized as among the best steakhouses – in fact, the New York City restaurant has been named as the best steakhouse in the city by Zagat Survey for 30 consecutive years. The James Beard Foundation also listed it as one of “America's Classics”.
The Peter Luger Steak House lives up to its name in the sense that it's the quintessential upscale American steakhouse. The focus is always on the steaks, which are consistently described as succulent, juicy and flavorful to the last bite. The dining rooms are also characterized by their elegant vibe, even with the weathered tables and exposed wooden beams.
The spare menu's main focus is the large porterhouse steak, which can feed two to four people depending on their appetite. There are also rib steaks, seasonal fish dishes, and lamb dishes as well as a daily lunch special menu. Diners can also choose from hamburgers, salads, home fries, broccoli, extra-thick bacon, and shrimp cocktail.
