About Village Cinemas
Village Cinemas is a chain and brand of movie theaters that shows mainstream blockbusters, usually from Hollywood and the Australian markets, including children- and family-friendly movies. On certain times, the cinemas also feature foreign language films, documentaries, and art house films so there’s a variety of selections.
The chain is known for its pioneering approach to bringing the movies to the market. There are several concept screens in its theaters, such as Gold Class (i.e., a luxury cinema with butler service, a la carte menu, cloakrooms, and reclining seats), Cinema Europa (i.e., features alternative fare, as well as equipped with separate café and lounge bar and toilets), and VMax (i.e., features wider armrests, larger seats, and stadium seating). These concept screens are typically separate from the regular cinemas although within the same building.
All theaters, nonetheless, are designed to provide the ultimate in modern movie-going experience with their upholstered seats, wide selection of food and drinks, and state-of-the-art video and audio systems.
