About Five Guys (UK)
Founded by Jerry and Janie Murrell in Arlington, Virginia in 1986, the American fast-food chain Five Guys is now among the most popular “better burger” chains in the United Kingdom. The country may be different but the simple yet successful formula has remained the same – the burgers, hot dogs and fries are always cooked to perfection, served hot, and served in giant portions. The Five Guys UK prices may be slightly higher than those in a standard fast-food joint but you’re paying for better burgers, hot dogs, and fries so these are justified.
The buns used for the burgers use free range eggs so these have a more organic feel to them; these are also warmed and toasted on a grill. The patties are 120-day grain-finished meat sourced from organic farms across the United Kingdom and Ireland; these are grilled to well-done perfection yet these retain their juiciness, succulence, and flavor. The American-style cheese and the fresh cut veggies are the perfect complement to the buns and meat.
