About Odeon Cinemas
The chain of Odeon cinemas has its roots in the Picture House, a cinema opened by Perry Barr in 1928 in Brierley, Staffordshire. Through the years, several owners changed hands with the current owner being AMC Theaters. Today, the chain is the largest of its kind in terms of market share in the United Kingdom.
The Odeon cinemas feature IMAX screens and/or iSense auditoriums, which are state-of-the-art cinema facilities. There are also food and drink areas including ice cream kiosks, bars, and coffee shops so patrons can nourish themselves before, during and after their movies. The facilities also include support offices, guest service centers, and ticketing booths, as well as a mobile app and an official website where ticket reservations can be made; the latter also serves as a gateway of information for patrons.
The chain also offers membership schemes like the Limitless program, a subscription system for unlimited access for a fixed monthly fee. Premium services for VIPs are also available, such as The Gallery and The Lounge.
