Beef Curry
Beef curry made in a unique Kerala style with an abundance of curry leaves, coriander powder and onions blended with select spices and coconut oil. Low mild heat. The curry is cooked in special pressure cookers and so the beef is deep cooked and may come apart. This makes the meat safe to eat but the beef itself may show a lowered flavor. Eating with the curry sauce itself is recommended. Fat of the beef separates and mingle with the coriander powder and make less trouble to your body as it goes down your system. This is a strict Keto-friendly food.

Chicken Fry
Medium Hot. This fry though it looks like a curry when freshly made, it is cooked slowly in coconut oil without water and hence called a fry. This is locally called a 'Shaap curry' because this preparation is used in alcohol shops only, Considered extremely hot, at UNNI's the heat is kept at Kerala medium for American reasons. The heat stays neck and above for 15 minutes or so and does not generally affect the internals except having some sizzling sensations. 8oz. No rice included.

Curd Rice
This is a signature South Indian dish that is marked as a soul food. Perhaps originated as a farmer's dish, this dish is made by making a curry out of yogurt, onions, chilly, ginger etc and then is blended with very hot rice. This food creates intense memory signatures that makes people crave it at times. This is also a 'lazy cook' food as once familiarized the process, it takes only minutes to cook in a home setting for any volume.

Pork Varattu - Thick Gravy Fry
Above medium hot when fresh made. This is the standard heat that the dish is traditionally cooked with. As it sits in the heat, pork absorbs the hot spice and feels lowered. So generally pork is not made with high hot spice. This is also a Shaap style curry.

Chamba Rice
This is a signature Kerala rice which geographically grows only in Kerala. This rice is more fibrous than the white rice and thus healthier. Pork Coconut Curry
This is a mild curry with coconut milk added. Does not have sweetness except for the effect of onions. The meat is cooked in pressure cookers and then simmered in coconut milk with extra spices. As the curry sits in the warmer, fat oozes from pork and make the curry thick and feels like chunky butter. For those who does not feel good about the overwhelming feel of buttery meat, the heavy addition of coriander powder and coconut will dilute the effect. But hey, it is pork. What did you expect!!

Njavara Rice
Kerala Njavara Red Rice or Oryza Sativa L., is among the top 3 rices of the world and is almost equivalent to Black rice. Unlike black rice, which is more of a weed seed kind unable to be eaten independently, Njavara is tasty and aromatic. For thousands of years, Njavara was and still is used as a medicine and as an endemic rice. Simply researching into the cosmetic industry on the uses on rice bran oil will give an idea of how important this rice really is and it is unfortunate that almost 99% of the world population including Kerala are unaware of this rice. While the long grain - Scarlet - is an engineered variety, Njavara is more traditional in origins.

Kaappi
UNNI's special old-school South Indian Filter Coffee from the pre-chicory times. The kind of coffee South India except Kerala wakes up to. When boiled or pressed, coffee oil also is extracted which is regular coffee or espresso, causing the coffee to be sour or bitter. But when hot water is added to fine powdered pure coffee and the coffee extract is fine dripped gently from the bottom over time, it gives birth to smooth and soft coffee which is strong or light depending on the coffee. You can even taste the gentle sweetness hidden in coffee. Coffee is added with lactose-free milk and optional sugar at pickup on request and is usually heated to near boiling. But cold coffee is also available as an option. Generically a fresh brew of South Indian coffee takes 30-45 minutes and contains roasted Chicory even up to 30%. UNNI's special filter coffee uses an innovative technique to get the same cold coffee in a minute or 5 if hot. Plus the coffee does not have Chicory. That's the way we ...
