About Hulu
Hulu, an entertainment company primarily providing over-the-top media services, is owned by Hulu LLC, a joint venture between several notable entities including The Walt Disney Company, AT&T, and Comcast. Subscribers can access past and present episodes of a wide range of shows from the joint owners’ television network-produced shows and from Hulu’s content partners. The result: Hulu is arguably the best streaming service where extensive – and impressive – content is concerned.
But the Hulu viewing experience isn’t without advertising. The expansive content library, nonetheless, more than makes up for it, especially for subscribers who want access to full seasons and day-after access to the current seasons of their favorite shows. The supported devices include smart televisions, set-top boxes, gaming consoles, and mobile devices, among others.
Currently, Hulu prices are slightly more expensive than its competitors but with its impressive content and features, subscribers are obviously willing to pay for it. The service is only available in the United States and its territories as well as in Japan; by the end of 2018, the total number of subscribers was around 25 million, among the industry’s highest.
Hulu with Live TV is an over-the-top IPTV service that offers live programming from both cable and broadcast brands. This means that subscribers can access both Hulu’s library of shows and films and the live television programming.
